Analisis Karakteristik Perilaku Pengendara Sepeda Motor Pada Pelajar SMA Di Kecamatan Sirimau

The security, safety, order and smoothness of traffic on the highway are growing day by day. Traffic accidents and violations in Indonesia are getting bigger, especially in adolescence. Traffic police in numbers (2021) reported that the most traffic accidents occurred at the age of 17 - 21 years, 8,746 died from traffic accidents, 17% were at the high school / equivalent level. This needs to be addressed by analyzing in order to reduce the accident rate. The purpose of this writer is to analyze the behavioral characteristics of motorcyclists and how large the percentage of underage motorcyclists in schools, analyze the efforts made by schools against underage motorcyclists. The method used in this research is purposive sampling method with qualitative and quantitative approaches. How to collect data through field surveys and secondary data collection from related agencies (schools) and then analyze them. The factors analyzed are the behavioral characteristics of motorcyclists at school, the percentage of underage motorcyclists at school, and the efforts made by the school. The results obtained from this study are the behavioral characteristics of motorcyclists at school which are most dominated by men at 78% while women are 22% of respondents, students who use underage two-wheeled motorized vehicles are 79% of the total 179 respondents. the use of safety riding is only 173 drivers who use helmets out of a total of 179 drivers, and ownership of SIM C 99% of respondents do not have a SIM C, the efforts made by the school are regulating regulations, appeals as well as prohibiting students who use 2-wheeled motorized vehicles to school.References
