The mangrove forest ecosystem is an important habitat for marine organisms and a natural barrier against coastal erosion. Aboru Village, located in Pulau Haruku District, Central Maluku Regency, is one of the areas with historically significant mangrove forests. Mangroves in this area play an important role in protecting the coastline from the adverse effects of waves and wind, thereby preventing land degradation. However, in recent years, human activities such as deforestation, land conversion, and pollution have caused a significant decline in the mangrove population in Aboru Village, making the area vulnerable to coastal erosion. This research, entitled "Analysis of the Influence of Mangroves on Coastal Protection in Aboru Village, Haruku Island District," aims to assess the current condition of mangrove forests, their impact on coastal damage, and identify factors that influence their effectiveness in coastal protection. This research uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods, combines field surveys, data calculations using the MS.Office Excel program, Wrplot, and uses the method of Flow Science (2016), as well as literature observations. The results of this research show that mangroves are in a damaged condition, the wave energy that can be absorbed
by mangroves in return periods 1, 2 and 5 is 71.50%, 68.22% and 67.35%, and factors that influence effectiveness. Mangroves in protecting beaches, namely climate change, human influence, and the influence of the age of the mangrove itself.
