On Rijali street, Sirimau sub-district, Ambon city, where the road is a connecting road between Ambon city and Ambon city center, along Rijali street, there are several community activity centers such as schools, offices, places of worship, supermarkets, etc. , so that access to the road becomes increasing. The purpose of this research is useful to know the magnitude of two-way saturation flow and to perform traffic management alternative solution of saturation flow that happened.
Technique of data collecting is done by primary data collecting and secondary data that is in primary data that is by field observation where direct research in field to get data traffic signal traffic volume while secondary data with knowing data of Ambon city population from related instation.
Early research results with a 30-second green light cycle on the eastern part of the Rijalli road showed below the degree of saturation of ≥0.85, from the result it was then conducted by traffic management by increasing the green light cyclical on the eastern approach from 30 to 50 seconds to overcome the saturated current at the intersection of Rijalli road segment with the calculation is then found that the value of saturation degree ≤ 0.85.From the analysis with traffic management, it is recommended to apply the phase change of movement from 2 phases to 3 phases and changes in green cycle time in particular on the eastern approach from 30 seconds to 50 seconds.
