Planning of pavement thickness is one of the stages in road works with the main target is to provide optimal services to the road users. Planning should be done carefully and the selection of planning methods is one of the factors that need to be taken into consideration in the planning of added layer thickness. The purpose of this research is to plan the thickness of the layers added by using Pd-T-05-2005-B and AASHTO 1993 method, and calculate efficient pavement thickness for Simpang Pelita Jaya-Piru road. By using Pd-T-05-2005-B method, the added layer thickness obtained for Simpang Pelita Jaya - Piru road is 8 cm with Asphalt Cement pavement type, 10 cm with Hot Rolled Sheet Asphalt pavement type and 7 cm with type of pavement of Asphalt Cement Modification. While AASHTO method 1993 obtained thickness of layer added equal to 18,75 cm with pavement type of solid asphalt hot gradation mixture. So the Pd-T-05-2005-B method is an efficient method applied to the Simpang Pelita Jaya - Piru roadReferences
