Abstract

The water content on the ground will increase the heavy of ground moreover external influence which disturb slope stability have a responsibility of the ground movements to the lower slope until caused the landslide disaster. The goal of this research to know the water content on the slope and the external factor slide causal on the slope mountain of Tawiri village RT 003/004. Step by step  research which is used is the land sampling as much as 15 point on the surface of the land and on the 50 cm depth and did the trial of the land mechanic characteristic to know the water content on each point, did the measuring of the slope, and collected the information of slide history. Result of the research shows the external factor slide causal more than one factor, the water content was influence by the rain with contain the highest water content on the foot to the top of the slope, and on the surface of the land and the 50cm depth is 40,76% on the top of the slope, while the  water content on the new slide location is 37,33%, therefore the slide possibility is still high.
