Abstract

The high number of parking users at Mathilda Batlayeri Saumlaki for both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles makes the available land to be used as a parking area unable to accommodate all vehicles that will use the parking area so that the parking area is not well organized. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the parking space of Mathilda Batlayeri Airport. The research method used is Cordon Coun. The technique is carried out by setting up separate recording posts, each of which counts the number of vehicles arriving and leaving the parking area within the specified time. This method can provide an overview of the need for parking facilities in the area. This data analysis technique uses parking space units from the Directorate General of Land Transportation 1996 and parking characteristics analysis from Hobbs 1995. After analyzing and calculating the characteristics of the parking volume for motorcycles, the highest is 62 vehicles, while the lowest is 4 vehicles. The highest volume of car vehicles is 64 vehicles, while the lowest is 2 vehicles. The maximum accumulation of motorcycle parking is 14 vehicles and 19 vehicles for cars. The average duration from the calculation of the maximum average duration value for motorbikes is 0.96 and for cars is 0.68. The maximum Parking Turn Over at the location for motorbikes is 5.38 and for cars is 0.88. The maximum parking index for motorcycles is 16.43% and for cars is 19.44%. with the number of parking spaces required based on the average duration of 178 SRP while for the current parking space requirements Mathilda Batlayeri Saumlaki Airport can still accommodate the number of vehicles based on the number of available plots with a total of 140 plots for motorbikes and 144 parking lots for a car with a total amount of SRP 284 SRP
