Sopapei Beach, which is located in Suli Village, Central Maluku Regency, is a beautiful and attractive beach tourist
destination for tourists and local residents. However, like many beaches around the world, Sopapei Beach is facing
the problem of shoreline damage. This research aims to analyze the size of the waves that occur at the research location,
analyze changes in the coastline that occur on Sopapei beach, and determine the alternatives needed to overcome
damage to the Sopapei coastline. This research begins with the data collection process for the problem which begins
with the preparatory stage of literature study and preliminary survey then the data analysis process uses primary and
secondary data obtained in the form of tides, coastline measurements and wind data. The results obtained from this
research are wave height (Hb) of 0.837 m, wave length (Lb) of 2.051 m, breaking wave depth (db) of 0.803 m and
breaking wave celerity (cb) of 0.513 for the dominant wind direction (South West). The change in coastline that
occurred on the Sopapei beach in Suli Village within a period of 10 years in the dominant direction (South West) was
-6.43 m which resulted in erosion with a coastline of 22,228 m. The alternative used to overcome damage to the
Sopapei coastline is a Seawall with the water surface elevation is 2.17 m, the dimensions of the seawall building are
3.1 m, the protective layer is 0.0184 tons/18 kg, the width of the seawall crest is 0.72 m, the thickness of the protective
layer is 1.08 m and the diameter of the stone is 0.17 m. In order to overcome the problem of damage to Sopapei beach
