PENGARUH MOTIVASI KERJA DAN KEPEMIMPINAN DIREKTIF TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI KANTOR DINAS KOMUNIKASI DAN INFORMATIKA KABUPATEN SORONG SELATAN
Abstract
ABSTRACT The aims of this research are 1). To analyze the influence of the directive leadership style variable and work motivation on the performance of the employees of the Office of South Sorong Regency Communication and Information, 2). To analyze which directive leadership style and work motivation have the dominant influence on the performance of the employees of the Office of South Sorong Regency Communication and Information. This study uses primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained by using questionnaires to 40 selected respondents and interviews, as well as secondary data obtained from available libraries. The analytical tool used is the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing. The results show that: 1). The description of directive leadership style and work motivation is still said to be not so good than expected in improving employee performance at the Office of South Sorong Regency Communication and Information, this can be seen from the average score of respondents' answers which are still in the categories or class 2.61 – 3.40 (Quite Good) and 3.41 – 4.20 (Good); 2). Overall, the variables of directive leadership style and work motivation included in this study proved to have a significant effect on employee performance at the Office of South Sorong Regency Communication and Information. 3). Of the 2 (two) independent variables studied, the work motivation variable is the dominant variable that affects the performance of employees at the Office of South Sorong Regency Communication and Information. 4). Variations in employee performance are explained by directive leadership style, work motivation is 77.3% while 22.7% is explained by other variables not analyzed in the model, including work stress, work environment, etc.
