Abstract

ABSTRACT
This study aims to explore the transformative disruption of soft skills of
principal leadership at SMP Negeri 6 Sorong in facing the digitalization era. The digitalization era requires principals to develop adaptive and responsive leadership skills to rapid changes in the world of education. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and participatory observations of principals, teachers, and administrative staff. The results of the study indicate that principals at SMP Negeri 6 Sorong have developed various soft skills, such as effective communication, collaboration skills, and decision-making skills, which are very important for leading schools in a digital context. In addition,
principals act as drivers of change by encouraging the use of technology in the learning process and school management. However, the study also identified challenges faced, including limited training and infrastructure support needed for optimal soft skill development. The conclusion of this study confirms that the development of soft leadership skills is key to improving the quality of education in the digital era. Recommendations
are given to related parties to provide more comprehensive training programs for principals so that they can adapt to the changes that occur. This study is expected to contribute to the development of educational leadership in Indonesia, especially in the context of digitalization.
