REALITA SMOKING BEHAVIOR DI KOTA AMBON (STUDI TENTANG PICTORIAL HEALTH WARNING PADA KEMASAN ROKOK)

Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the highest active smokers in Maluku Province which placed the fifth number in Indonesia. While cronic diseases like: hipertency, cancer and heart placed the first number in Indonesia and Ambon City was the biggest constributor. According to this reality, the research was done for describing smoking behavior problem based on pictorial health warning in Ambon City, especially on the five locations. The method in this research was quantitative with used quesionaire and sample was 150 respondents. The data was analized with simple regression and statistic descriptive analysis. Finally, there was the influence of pictorial health warning to smoking behavior. It was denoted by the number of t test > t tabel (35.373>1.676) and significancy 0.000<0.05 and r² 89.4%
