Abstract

Parking becomes a phenomenon that affects the movement of vehicles when vehicles that have a high intensity of movement will be hampered by vehicles parked on the shoulder of the road causing congestion. The problem that often occurs in the location of research is the increase in the number of vehicles that pass through the road drastically because of the process of picking up school children who make many vehicles parking irregularly and make the road becomes narrow. The purpose of this study is to determine the capacity of parking and parking mananjemen and the impact of on-street parking on the performance of Pattimura highway. Data collection in this research is observation, Data analysis technique using Manual of Capacity of Road Indonesia 1997 (MKJI 1997). Based on the results of this study, the highest accumulation of parking is at 07.00 - 07.30 with accumulated as many as 25 vehicles / jam.unted for light vehicles.Sedangkan for motorcycles, the accumulation of peaks at 07.00 -07.30 with accumulated as many as 19 vehicles / jam.Kapasitas highest road is on Monday from 12.00 - 13.00 with the capacity of 1342 smp / hour and 1143 smp / hour with the current of 1752 smp / hour vehicle with the degree of saturation of 1.31 and 1.53, it indicates the state of the road including service level E which is influenced by Turnover and parking index , and it can be concluded that parking on the roads leads to a decrease in road performance
