Ambon City has a land area of 359.45 km2. Because it is located on a volcanic arc island, 73% of the city area is hilly with steep slopes (30-45 °) to very steep (> 45 °) and only about 17% of the land area can be grouped flat or flat with less than slope 30 °. In this study there are several objectives to be achieved, among others; Analyze the stability of the slope based on the number of safety factors, Analyze the factors causing landslides, and they improve slope stability.Data analysis is to do calculations with the analysis process, among others, soil classification, calculation of slope safety number factors, factors causing landslides and slope stability improvement. The existing safety factor for slope stability in Hatalai Village produced by the Fellenius and Bishop 1.7 <SF ≤ 2 methods means that the susceptibility of the ground movement can occur. After making improvements to the results of the plan security figures with the Geometry Method used for STA 00 ± 050 that is safe and efficient is with a height of 6 meters and an angle of 35 ˚ with a safety number of 1.7 <SF ≤ 2.0 ie vulnerability to low ground motion: ground motion rarely happening. For STA 00 ± 100 the slope engineering for both samples results in a low ground motion susceptibility of 1.7 <SF ≤ 2.0, and the more efficient one is with a height of 8 meters and a slope angle of 45˚.
