Abstract

Walkability is an indicator of the feasibility of an area for pedestrians, with the hope of increasing community walking activities in the area (Nyagah 2015). Litman (2014) argues that areas with good walkability can generate significant benefits for the people in the area. This study aims to analyze the level of walkability on the sidewalks of Jalan Pattimura and Jalan Imam Bonjol, Ambon city and provide recommendations on walkability problems on the sidewalks of Patimura Street and Imam Bonjol Street, Ambon city. The data analyzed is data obtained from observations, interviews, observations and questionnaires that were carried out to find out the opinion of each public opinion regarding the condition of Ambon City sidewalks. The level of walkability of pedestrian paths obtained on Jalan Pattimura is 48.75. The walkability on Jalan Pattimura is included in the walkable class. As for the walkability level of the pedestrian path on Jalan Imam Bonjol, it is 55.50. The walkability score on Jalan Imam Bonjol is included in the walkable class
