Abstrak

Roads are a supporter of infrastructure in an area and aggregate is the main material for road pavement structures. In this case, Wai Sakula aggregate and natural rubber asphalt were selected to be tested for quality, so the purpose of this study was to analyze the stability of the mixture of asphalt concrete and rubber as a pavement material, while still guided by the 2018 General Specifications testing standards. as a means for developing existing potentials and can also function to facilitate the movement of people and the distribution of goods from villages to cities and vice versa. Road damage in Indonesia is generally caused by excessive loading (overload) or due to excessive Physical Damage Factor (P.D.F), the number of vehicle flows that pass (load repetition) as a result of the growth in the number of commercial vehicles and environmental changes or poor drainage function. These three main factors causing pavement damage require the use of materials for road pavement (asphalt concrete) with higher quality, in the form of aggregate as a filler material and asphalt as a binder. The most widely used pavement in Indonesia is asphalt concrete or laston. . The use of natural rubber in asphalt-concrete mixtures is a solution for highway planning and reduces pollution of rubber waste produced from rubber factories. The study used the percentage of natural rubber mixture 5% - 7.0% of the weight of the test object and 0% as a normal mixture. The implementation of this research was carried out in the Transport Laboratory of UKIM Ambon. From the test results obtained the value of coarse aggregate; wear 16.7%, flatness 6.30%, oval 5.29%, specific gravity 2.69%, absorption 1.33%, in addition to the results of the fine aggregate test, it is known that the specific gravity value is 2.27% and absorption is 2.56%. and absorption of 2.78%. For asphalt testing, the penetration value is 53.8%, asphalt density is 0.943gr/cc, ductility is 110cm, asphalt softening point is 67°C, for Marshall test the stability of AC-WC mixture is obtained stability value is 1637 kg/cm2, flow (melting) is 3.90mm, Marshall Quotient 647 kg/mm, while the value of Void Filled Bitumen (VFB) 65.11%, Void In Mineral Aggregate (VMA) 17.91%, Void In Mix (VIM) 5.21%, KAO value 6.25%, Wai Sakula Aggregate on Ambon Island can be meet the 2018 General Specifications and meet the requirements for asphalt concrete wear (AC-WC) work
