Pendampingan Pastoral Bagi Korban Bencana Alam di Indonesia
Abstract
Indonesia is a country that is highly vulnerable to disasters due to its location in the Pacific Ring of Fire. Between 2018 and 2021, many major disasters occurred, causing significant physical, mental, and spiritual impacts on the victims. This study aims to examine the real impact of natural disasters on victims, considering the pastoral theological perspective on disasters, and formulating a transformative pastoral care based on liberation theology. The approach used in this study is qualitative with a literature review. The findings of this study indicate that successful pastoral care must be comprehensive, covering the fulfillment of physical needs, recovery from psychological trauma, strengthening of faith, socio-economic empowerment, and advocacy for structural justice. This pastoral care positions the church as a community capable of transformation and bringing hope and liberation in the midst of suffering.

Abstrak
Indonesia adalah negara yang sangat rentan terhadap bencana akibat lokasinya di Cincin Api Pasifik. Dalam rentang waktu 2018-2021, banyak bencana besar terjadi, yang memberikan dampak yang signifikan baik fisik, mental, maupun spiritual kepada para korban. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dampak nyata dari bencana alam terhadap korban, mempertimbangkan pandangan teologi pastoral mengenai bencana, dan merumuskan pendampingan pastoral yang transformatif berlandaskan teologi pembebasan. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan studi pustaka. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan pastoral yang berhasil harus bersifat menyeluruh, mencakup pemenuhan kebutuhan fisik, pemulihan dari trauma psikologis, penguatan iman, pemberdayaan sosial-ekonomi, serta advokasi untuk keadilan struktural. Pendampingan pastoral ini menempatkan gereja sebagai komunitas yang mampu bertransformasi dan menghadirkan harapan, serta pembebasan di tengah-tengah penderitaan.
