Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Ambon Branch with a sample of 55 permanent employees. After using a series of statistical tests, this study found that 1). There is a simultaneous influence between competence, discipline and stress on performance, meaning that if the competence and discipline of employees increases then the performance will also increase while for the stress variable, performance will increase if the stress level decreases 2). There is a significant influence between competence and performance, meaning that if the competency of employees increases, the resulting performance also tends to increase. 3). There is a significant influence between discipline and performance, meaning that if the discipline owned by employees increases, the resulting performance also tends to increase. 4). There is a significant influence between stress and performance, meaning that if the stress owned by employees increases, the resulting performance tends to decrease, but conversely if the stress owned by employees decreases, the resulting performance tends to increase. 5). From the large R square value of 0.530, it can be explained that competence, discipline and stress can explain changes in performance by 53.0%, while 47% is explained by other variables.
