Karya Kesehatan Siwalima (KKS) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal committed to the dissemination of knowledge, research findings, and evidence-based practices in the field of health sciences. The journal aims to advance interdisciplinary perspectives and promote innovative approaches to improving health outcomes at the individual, family, and community levels, both nationally and globally.

KKS serves as a scholarly platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to publish high-quality original research articles, systematic reviews, case studies, and theoretical analyses that contribute to the advancement of health sciences and the development of healthcare services. The journal places strong emphasis on research-based practice, community-oriented interventions, and the integration of science, technology, and humanistic care in addressing contemporary health challenges.

In particular, Karya Kesehatan Siwalima highlights the importance of contextual and culturally sensitive approaches, especially within archipelagic and multicultural settings such as Indonesia, while maintaining relevance within the broader global health discourse. The journal also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially those related to health and well-being, through the publication of empirical studies, innovative models, and conceptual frameworks.

Managed by the Faculty of Health, Universitas Kristen Indonesia Maluku, Karya Kesehatan Siwalima publishes articles derived from both research projects and community service activities. These works encompass a wide range of themes, including health education, counseling, community engagement and socialization programs, as well as evaluations of development initiatives, survey-based studies, and experimental research in the health sector.

Karya Kesehatan Siwalima is currently accredited as a SINTA 5 journal, based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdikti-Saintek) Number 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025.

Important Announcement for Authors – Karya Kesehatan Siwalima

Dear Authors,

We would like to inform you that Karya Kesehatan Siwalima has closed submissions for the March 2025 Issue. We are now calling for papers for the September 2025 Issue.

Starting from the September 2025 Issue, we are implementing several new policies to improve the quality of manuscripts and overall journal management. The new policies are as follows:

  1. Similarity Check Requirement: Submitted manuscripts must have a maximum similarity score of 20%, checked using Turnitin or iThenticate. Manuscripts exceeding this limit will be automatically rejected and will not proceed to the next stage. The similarity report must be uploaded in the Supplementary File section during submission.

  2. Author Statement: Authors are required to submit a signed Author Statement, which must also be uploaded in the Supplementary File section.

  3. New Template & Language Policy: A new manuscript template will be applied starting from the September 2025 Issue. Please download the template from the following link:
    Template Link.  All manuscripts must be submitted in English. However, if authors submit in Bahasa Indonesia, our editorial team can assist with English translation after the manuscript is accepted for publication.

  1. Author Fees: Starting from the September 2025 Issue, an author fee of IDR 250,000 will be applied.
